Vision Theatre Performing Arts Development Fund (VTPAF)

The successful operation and maintenance of the Vision Theatre will require more program funds than provided for in the City’s budget. To bridge the gap in funding needs,Vision Theatre Performing Arts Development Fund (VTPAF) a 501c3 a non-profit corporate has been established to support and sustain the Vision Theatre. VTPAF’s formation is a strategic component in the theater’s capital fund-raising efforts as well as future operational and programmatic needs, which is critical to the success of the theater. VTPAF will provide the additional resources needed to meet the overall objectives of the Vision Theatre and the surrounding community.. The Department’s experience brokering and working with professional and other non-profit entities will serve as bridge to form a unique arts , cultural and entertainment trust and a model of communicative efficiency.

Objectives

  • Establish a Board of Directors representing civic, business, artistic, cultural and community interests capable of raising dollars.
  • The incorporation and naming of a Vision Theatre Friends (Capacity Building &Fund Raising) Group, (501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation)
  • Create a MOU that delineates the operating and maintenance agreement with the City of Los Angeles
  • Create the framework and agreements for committees
  • Create the framework to support the operational, management, financial, program, educational, marketing and fund development components of the operation
  • Set goals for the overall Friends Group and support committees
