Proposed Programs
The Vision Theatre is located the intellectual, cultural and socio-economic center of the African American population of Los Angeles. The West Adams-Leimert Park-Baldwin Hills area, also part of South Los Angeles and the Crenshaw District, is rife with the cultural history of black Americans. Therefore, it is prudent the program basis of the Vision Theatre provide substantive content relating to the black African American experience and its historical cultural root in the African Diaspora. When viewed from this perspective, the African Diaspora and the roots of African culture and its descendants spans the globe. Therefore, the Vision Theatre will host artists, not only from the Los Angeles community, but will; embrace those cultures of the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, Asia, Pacific Islanders, Central and South America descent. There are significant cultures of English, Spanish, Portuguese and French speaking peoples of African descent in these regions and the Vision Theatre’s programming component will embody them within the programmatic framework. This will broaden the cultural experience for the local community and greater Los Angeles, simply because there is not another venue in Southern California offering this type of program experience.

PROGRAM MARKETING
Within the basic, perennial, holiday and heritage month program categories, the Vision Theatre will BRAND certain programs for sponsorship and marketing purposes. The presentation and delivery of the diverse programmatic format will provide the Vision Theatre a competitive edge in the new digital marketplace. Additionally, it will take advantage of our position in the market by attracting a large and supportive African American entertainment pool, provide a thorough training experience for members of the Manchester Junior Arts Center and enlist a core of Arts, Culture and Entertainment Ambassadors to assist in the fund-raising efforts of this world class facility in the heart of the African community.
